StressDo you feel anxious, irritable or suffer from low self-esteem. Does your head sometimes feel like a washing machine with thoughts racing round and round? Many of life’s demands can cause stress, particularly work, relationships and financial problems. And, when you feel stressed, it can get in the way of sorting out these demands, or can even affect everything you do.

What is stress?

Stress is the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure. Pressure turns into stress when you feel unable to cope. Stress can be the underlying reason for a wide range of symptoms.

Symptoms of Stress can include:

  • Sleep problems
  • Sweating
  • Loss of appetite
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Feeling anxious
  • Irritable
  • Low self esteem
  • Racing thoughts
  • Constant worrying
  • Going over and over things in your head
  • Losing your temper more easily
  • Acting unreasonably
  • Drinking more

You may also experience headaches, muscle tension or pain, or dizziness.

It’s not a good feeling and can adversely affect every aspect of your life.
